46th Anniversary Celebration at the Oasis of Hope

This past July 18, 2009, The staff and patients at Oasis of Hope celebrated the 46th anniversary of when Dr. Ernesto Contreras and his wife Rita founded the hospital. Patients from Mexico, the United States, England, Nigeria and India enjoyed the food and festivities which included a traditional Mexican trio, the Bruce Northey impression of Willie Nelson and a heart warming song by Oasis' laughter therapist Shary Oden. Dr. Franciso Contreras and Daniel Kennedy presented the Oasis of Hope Vision award to Kleon and Kathleen Cronk who founded Project Oasis of Hope ten years ago to provide prayer for patients at any time of day or night 365 days per year. A number of Project Oasis of Hope volunteers made the trip to Oasis including Steve Johnson, Herb Clement, Stan & Sandy Sandler, Carol and Danelle Hale. Dr. Francisco Contreras and the Oasis of Hope staff would like to invite you to our 46th Anniversary Celebration at the Oasis of Hope. We will also be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Project Oasis of Hope which has been providing volunteer prayer partners over the last decade. The celebration will be a luncheon at 12 noon at the Oasis of Hope garden area (weather permitting) and will include a delicious meal, a keynote address from Dr. Contreras, wonderful music and more.

If you will be at the hospital as a patient, there will be no charge for you to attend the celebration for you and one companion. If you wish to attend, and you will not be admitted for treatment, the cost will be $150.00 per couple or $125.00 for one person. This will include roundtrip transportation from the San Diego airport, one night stay at the Oasis of Hope, 3 meals including the luncheon.
