"I was diagnosed with invasive breast cancer on February 9, 2006; that same day the surgeon asked me to make an immediate decision to undergo a lumpectomy or a mastectomy followed by chemotherapy and radiation. My first response to her was, 'I got up, got dressed and took my kids to school this morning. How did I get here?'

After asking the Lord to remove the fear that was consuming me, I decided to live by faith and not let cancer steal my joy. I started the Hallelujah Diet, had the lumpectomy, but refused the chemo and radiation, believing that I wouldn’t survive them. I began vitamin C and supplemental therapy with my ND, but knew I needed to be somewhere where I’d receive comprehensive daily treatments and nutritional instruction. After much research, the Lord led me to Oasis of Hope where I began nutritional therapies.

At Oasis of Hope, Dr. Contreras, the whole medical team as well as the kitchen and housekeeping staff worked together for my benefit. They not only treated me for the cancer, they also bolstered my immune system and through education diffused my fear of chemotherapy. In October, 2008, after only two rounds of IRT, including vitamin C and chemo, the cancer has been reversed. Praise God!!
