What is the new drug that is approved to build red blood cells instead of having too many blood transfusions?

Procrit (epoetin alfa) also known as Epogen is a drug given to patients who have chemotherapy-induced anemia (low red blood cell count). An injection of Procrit stimulates red blood cell production It can be administered I.V. or I.M.

How to treat tumor diagnosis chndroid Chordoma C2-C4 - My son is 6 years old and until now had three operations. Treatment recommended is proton radiation, but I am interested in your opinion on this diagnosis of the tumor.

Chondroid Chordomas are very rare and there is controversy as to how to treat them, some oncologists will treat them as chondrosarcomas and others as chondromas. Usualy surgery is the most effective treatment but since your child had had recurrences, further therapy is needed. I have treated only one child with a similar condition and we treated him as a chondrosarcoma. I believe that a proton radiation is a good option for your son. A combination with our therapy would be quite helpful to increase the efficacy of radiation therapy and would reduce the side effects.

Hello, I have heard about organic sulphur to supply oxygen, what are your thoughts on this?

Organic sulfur has been proven to increase circulating oxygen concentration but not within malignant tumors, Ozone therapy and Perftec, on the other hand, have. This is a fundamental difference since oxidative therapies need the oxygen within the tumor to kill them.

I am a little confused about anti-oxidants and the killing of tumors through oxidation. I thought we were supposed to eat foods/drinks containing anti-oxidants? - Peta Tracey

There is no question that anti-oxidants are quite beneficial for our health and disease prevention, even for health recuperation but, an important element in the destruction of malignant tumors, due to their basic incapability of handling hyper oxidative stress, is oxidative therapies. These therapies are temporary and will be more effective if the patient is prepared for it. That is why at the Oasis of Hope we do extensive "Oxidative Preconditioning" to help our patients cope and respond better to this part of the anti-tumor therapies.

What can be done about leukemia?
