This vegan, sugar free and healthy recipe is super easy to make, now you can use this date syrup as a substitute for regular maple syrup and put it over your oatmeal, pancakes or anything you want!
Makes: about 2 cups
- 1 ½ cup pitted dates
- 1 ½ cup hot water
- Combine the dates and hot water in a bowl and set aside for 5 minutes to soften the dates.
- Transfer the dates and water to a high- speed blender and blend until smooth.
- Transfer the syrup to a glass jar or other airtight container with a tight-fitting lid. Store the syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
