Zucchini noodles are ideal if you are looking for healthy pasta alternative, add our avocado pesto for a simple and delicious dish that everyone will love.

Makes: 4 cups

Serving size: 2 cups



  • 1 avocado (ripe)
  • 1 ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves (or any other green leaf)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Water as needed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2-3 zucchinis (spiralized)
  • Slice almonds to garnish



For the sauce: In a food processor, blend avocado, garlic, onion powder,  basil leaves and lemon juice until smooth, then mix in extra virgin olive oil. Add water, 1 tbsp at a time, until sauce reaches a fluid yet thick consistency. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

For the zucchini noodles: Sautee noodles with a splash of olive oil over medium/high heat until slightly soft and bright green, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain excess water.

To Serve: Toss noodles with sauce and top with sliced almonds or pecans (you may not need all of the sauce).
