What is Co-Activated Cell Therapy?
Co-Activated Cell Therapy is an advanced immunotherapy that combines two powerful approaches—Dendritic Cell (DC) Therapy and Lymphocyte Activated Killer (LAK) Cell Therapy—administered together in a single infusion. This dual strategy is designed to deliver both targeted and broad-spectrum anti-cancer activity. How the Therapy is Developed
The process begins with the collection of immune cells from the blood of the patient. In our cGMP-compliant, ISO-certified laboratory, two parallel preparations are carried out. Monocytes are differentiated into dendritic cells and pulsed with tumor-specific antigens to train them to recognize cancer. At the same time, lymphocytes are cultured with interleukin-2 (IL-2) to generate Lymphocyte Activated Killer cells, which develop enhanced tumor-killing capabilities. These two populations—antigen-loaded dendritic cells and activated LAK cells—are prepared simultaneously under strict quality controls to preserve their potency.
How It Works in the Body
Once ready, both cell populations are infused back into the patient at the same time. The dendritic cells migrate to lymph nodes, where they present tumor antigens and activate tumor-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes. In parallel, the LAK cells circulate immediately through the bloodstream, exerting direct cytotoxic effects on malignant cells through perforin- and granzyme-mediated apoptosis. The simultaneous infusion creates a powerful synergy: dendritic cells initiate and guide precise immune responses, while LAK cells provide immediate tumor debulking and immune stimulation. This coordinated activity promotes both short-term tumor destruction and long-term immune memory.
