It’s really amazing — when I first arrived at Oasis of Hope, I had five tumors in my liver. During my most recent CAT scan, the doctors told me that only one tumor remained active, and by my next visit, even that tumor had shrunk to half its size. The most wonderful part is that the tissue in my liver has regenerated — it’s as if I have a new liver! My doctors say it’s functioning normally now, and I praise God for that. I know it’s because of the treatments, and I truly believe the Lord led me to Oasis of Hope, using the doctors’ knowledge and compassion to bring me through this disease.
When I first stepped into Oasis of Hope, I immediately felt that it was different. It didn’t feel like a hospital — and I’ve been in many. It felt like coming home. The staff didn’t just welcome me; they welcomed my family too. That sense of warmth and belonging made me feel comfortable right away. I wasn’t just a patient — I was part of a community.
At first, I was uncertain about how effective the treatment would be. I prayed that it would work, and what I found was far greater than I expected. Oasis of Hope is not just a hospital — it’s a spiritual retreat, a place where the body, mind, and spirit are all treated together. Often, in order to heal your body, your spirit and your mind must also be healed, and this is exactly what happens here. The Spirit of God truly dwells in this place.
Every single person at Oasis of Hope — from the doctors to the nurses to the staff — has been kind, compassionate, and deeply caring. The doctors are knowledgeable and supportive, and they make you feel seen and valued. A man once told me, “A person won’t let you help them unless they know you care.” At Oasis of Hope, you know they care.
That, more than anything, has made all the difference in my experience. I am deeply thankful, and I feel blessed to have come to Oasis of Hope and met such incredible people.
