Supporting Oxygenation and Cellular Health

Ozone therapies use a carefully controlled mixture of oxygen and ozone to support oxygen delivery, circulation, and immune function as part of an integrative metabolic treatment approach.

Within our integrative cancer program, we provide medical ozone therapies—carefully calibrated and clinically supervised—to complement your overall treatment plan. Medical ozone (O₃), used at precise concentrations creates a controlled oxidative signal that the body answers by up-regulating its own protective systems. This response can improve redox balance, microcirculation, and the blood’s oxygen-delivery dynamics—factors that matter in cancer care because many tumors live in low-oxygen (hypoxic) microenvironments.

At Oasis of Hope we offer three ozone modalities:

  • Autohemotherapy (MAH): A measured volume of blood is mixed with an oxygen–ozone blend and reinfused to signal systemic adaptive responses.
  • EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation & Ozonation): A closed-loop circuit combines high-flow oxygenation, controlled ozone signaling, and in-line filtration.
  • Ozonated Saline Therapy: Medical ozone is dissolved in sterile saline and infused IV for a gentler, whole-body stimulus without extracorporeal handling.

How Ozone Supports Oxygenation in Tumors

Tumor hypoxia can limit the effectiveness of cancer therapies and drive cells toward aggressive behavior. Ozone therapies address this indirectly and directly:

  • Oxygen-rich interface. In Autohemotherapy and EBOO, your blood meets a precise blend of medical oxygen and ozone. The oxygen boosts the blood’s oxygen content, while the ozone creates short, gentle signals that prompt the body to “tune up” its own antioxidant and circulation systems.
  • Better delivery, better release. These signals help red blood cells stay flexible so they glide through tiny vessels and deliver where it’s needed most. Together with natural vessel relaxation, this raises oxygen levels in tissues and reduces hard-to-reach low-oxygen pockets.
  • Inside the cell. As more oxygen reaches the tumor area, cells have better access to the oxygen they need for normal energy pathways. The goal isn’t to flood the body with oxidants—it’s to encourage a measured reset that improves oxygen availability in places where it’s often limited.
  • Ozone + High-Dose Vitamin C: Ozone sessions help increase tissue oxygenation, setting the stage for High-Dose IV Vitamin C to act as a pro-drug that generates small, localized amounts of hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂). Many tumors have lower peroxide-clearing enzymes (e.g., catalase) than healthy tissue, so this natural H₂O₂ signal places selective stress on cancer cells while normal cells neutralize it more effectively. We often schedule ozone before or near Vitamin C infusions to support this oxygen-dependent chemistry.

Autohemotherapy (MAH)

What it is
We take a small amount of your blood, gently mix it with a precise blend of medical oxygen and ozone and then return it to you. That brief contact creates natural, short-lived “messenger” signals that encourage your body to tune up circulation, balance antioxidants, and use oxygen more effectively.

How we use it
Sessions are done under the care of a doctor and a registered nurse. Autohemotherapy often serves as the centerpiece of an ozone treatment block and is coordinated with hydration, infrared sessions, or nutrition IVs on nearby days to build steady, week-to-week gains.

Benefits

  • Improves tiny-vessel circulation, helping oxygen and nutrients reach tissues.
  • Supports a healthy antioxidant balance, promoting steadier redox signaling.
  • Helps hemoglobin release oxygen, so your tissues can use it more easily.
  • Gives gentle cues to the immune system, aligning with integrative care goals.

EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation & Ozonation)

What it is
Your blood is gently circulated through a closed, sterile loop outside the body, where it briefly meets a precise blend of medical oxygen and ozone and passes through medical filters—then it’s returned to you. Think of it as giving the blood a carefully controlled oxygen boost plus a short ozone signal, all within one system.

How we use it
EBOO is performed under the care of a doctor and a registered nurse in a monitored setting. We schedule it less often than Autohemotherapy (MAH) and place it at key points in your treatment block. On EBOO days, we pair the session with structured hydration and gentle, restorative therapies so the circulation and oxygen gains carry into the rest of the week.

Benefits

  • Promotes whole-body readiness to use oxygen more efficiently
  • Supports healthy blood flow in the smallest vessels and helps vessel lining (endothelium) function well
  • The in-line filter can reduce selected circulating byproducts during the session
  • Acts as a comprehensive “reset” that complements the other therapies in your plan

Ozonated Saline Therapy

What it is
We gently dissolve medical ozone into sterile saline and give it through a standard IV. It’s a softer, whole-body way to use ozone—there’s no blood handled outside your body—designed to nudge the body’s own antioxidant and circulation systems in a supportive way.

How we use it
Given under the care of a doctor and a registered nurse in a comfortable IV setting. Ozonated saline can be used on its own or as a bridge between Autohemotherapy (MAH) or EBOO sessions to help keep your weekly progress steady.

Benefits

  • Helps keep redox balance on track with a gentle ozone input.
  • Supports healthy circulation and oxygen delivery to tissues.
  • Fits easily into your weekly plan alongside nutrition IVs, hydration, and infrared sessions.
